1.  Service Agreement:

a. Our services include editing and proofreading of written content, with a focus on improving grammar, language usage, clarity, coherence, formatting, and overall quality.

b. The client acknowledges that our services are limited to editing and proofreading and do not involve content creation or guaranteeing specific outcomes or results, including but not limited to publication in a specific journal.

c. Our team of editors and proofreaders will make every effort to provide accurate and reliable services. However, we do not guarantee error-free documents, and the client assumes full responsibility for the final content.

2.  Confidentiality:

​

a. We prioritize the confidentiality and security of your documents. We will not disclose any of your documents or your identity to any other parties.

​

b. While we employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data, the internet is not completely secure. The client acknowledges and accepts the risks associated with transmitting information electronically.

​

3. Copyright and Ownership:

​

a. The client retains full copyright and ownership of the original content submitted for editing and proofreading.

​

b. The client guarantees that they have the necessary rights and permissions to use the submitted content and that it does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights.

4.  Payment and Pricing:

​

a. The client agrees to pay the agreed-upon fees for the services rendered. Prices are determined based on factors such as word count, complexity, and requested turnaround time.

b. Payments are accepted through secure online payment platforms. All fees are payable in the currency specified at the time of payment.

​

c. All payments will be made in full before the final edited and/or proofread materials are provided to the client.

 

5.  Revision Policy:

 

a. We strive to provide high-quality services and ensure customer satisfaction. If the client is not satisfied with the edited and proofread document, they may request revisions within a specified timeframe (typically 7 days from the delivery date).

b. Revision requests should be specific and within the scope of the original document. Requests for substantial changes or additional content may be subject to additional fees.

 

6.  Limitation of Liability:

 

a. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the services rendered. We shall not be held responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services.

 

7.  Termination:

a. Either party may terminate the agreement by providing written notice.

 

b. In the event of termination, the client will be responsible for the agreed-upon fees for services rendered up to the termination date. This fee will be calculated based on the percentage of the client's project which was completed at the termination date.

 

8.  Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

a. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service provider is located.

​

b. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the aforementioned jurisdiction.
